The meeti= ng started promptly at 6:30

Charlie S= tevens facilitated the meeting.

DSS (Tina Merritt) spoke about the following items.

Tina covered the hand outs.

Hours for= the CD114 changed. Books are 1 ho= ur no matter how long or what web site says.

Meetings = are 1 hour of CD114 training now.

Questions= -

How long = does It take to get payments for respite? Usually no more than 60 days<= /o:p>

How does = mileage paperwork go in and how long does it take to get payments? Mileage is done monthly. The sooner you turn it in the soon= er you will get payments. There is no magic number as to how long it will take.

Clothing allowance questions came up. = The answer is for clothing allowance, you need to do what the worker tells you = to do as far as how much to spend and where you can go to get the clothing. Make sure you have approval first = is the key.

Training consisted of WIC and the Taney County Health Department

Training = covered the following:

Child Hea= lth and Wellness and Nutrition

- &nb= sp; Shots: Can get at health department. Ask case worker about shots for your foster kids. Make sure you always get approval = to have shots done. Shots can be scheduled for free by getting an appt. at your county health department.

- &nb= sp; Health Department will do child seat safety check. Call and make an appointment.=

- &nb= sp; Child seat safety was covered. A ke= y note made was to only buy a car or booster from someone you know the history on = it from. Never from garage sales= or thrift stores.

- &nb= sp; Check expiration dates on seats and destroy expired seats and replace.=

- &nb= sp; H1N1 information was passed on. Wa= sh your hands.

First Ste= ps

- &nb= sp; Program covers kids from birth to 3 years of age.

- &nb= sp; Program is designed as an early intervention for kids.

- &nb= sp; Program takes referrals.

- &nb= sp; Most everything in the program is free

- &nb= sp; The kids can be evaluated to determine eligibility to get kids in the program.<= o:p>
